The short version: CanIReach does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. No account is required. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

What data we collect
We collect nothing. Specifically:
- No name, email address, or account information
- No device identifiers or advertising IDs
- No location data sent to any server
- No analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry
- No cookies on this website
Where your data lives
All data the app creates — saved paths, map pins, repeater bookmarks, license study progress, radio settings — is stored exclusively in your device's local storage (localStorage on web, app storage on Android). It never leaves your device.
Location
The app can optionally use your device's GPS to center the map or place a pin at your current location. This happens only when you tap a GPS action. Your coordinates are used only in the moment and are never transmitted, logged, or stored outside your device.
In-app purchases
CanIReach Pro is available as a one-time in-app purchase through Google Play. Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. CanIReach Studio does not receive, store, or process any payment card or billing information. Google's privacy policy governs that transaction.
Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party components — none of which collect personal data through our use of them:
- MapLibre GL — open-source map rendering library, runs entirely on-device
- Terrain tiles — elevation data is fetched from public tile servers by your device when you load a map. These requests are standard HTTP requests with no personal identifiers beyond a standard IP address, which we do not log
Children
CanIReach is rated Everyone and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change our data practices, we will update this page and the date above. Given that we collect nothing, we do not anticipate material changes.
